My name is Tom Sharpless, and this is my blog about really wide angle digital photography.  I’m deeply involved in the subject, both as a developer of software and as a keen amateur of spherical panography.  Another name for that is 360 degree virtual reality photography; and indeed I am a member of IVRPA — the International Virtual Reality Photography Association.

This is also the general support site for my commercial software offerings, which include several tools that use the  Panini projection  to render wide views in natural looking, adjustable perspective.  Panini-Photo and Panini-Video are the ultimate distortion fixers for still photos and videos taken with ultrawide and fish-eye lenses; Panini-Pro is a true software view camera for “re-photographing” high resolution images of many kinds, including spherical panoramas.
